15 April 2014: The new flyers are ready!


The new flyers show the Simon & Halbig 927 doll dressed as the Czarin Maria of Russia, and a brief explanation about the museum on the back. The flyers were kindly and artfully prepared by Mrs. Corina Koenner.



22 March 2014: The museum has a new inhabitant

This sweet face was produced in the beginning of the 20th century by Schoenau & Hoffmeister in Germany, and for the last 30 years was living in the Doll Museum in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. 

She is one of the rare "Künsterkopf" models. The Cieslik Lexikon of German Antique Dolls includes a picture of this doll, see picture below.

The world wide famous toy museum in Rothenburg was founded by Mrs. Katharina Engels in 1984, and sadly auctioned off this year... At least this beauty will remain in one museum for everyone to see.

Bad Breisig: Time seems to stand still in the remarkable red house at the Koblenzer street in Bad Breisig. Because from the moment that the visitor sets foot in the rooms on the groundfloor he will feel as if transported to the 19. century. Many hundreds of dolls of all kinds welcome the visitor and invite him to stay. The Doll Museum and also its new curator, Oscar Ferreira, are happy to welcome all interested people. The newspaper Rhein-Zeitung has visited the museum and talked with the new "Master of Dolls".

Actually he was first of all searching for a house. The charming building in Bad Breisig, where previous the town hall was located, was..."
